Mocha Oat Fudge Bar

Mocha Oat Fudge Bar
Makes 16 bars
This week I made Mocha oat fudge bars. I got the inspiration from Starbucks. They make these oat fudge bars, but of course, I made mine with a twist (I used espresso powder). These bars are nothing like Starbucks Lol (I tried). They're a bit chewier. These bars would be great for a gathering or even just for yourself (why not treat yourself)😊. There are two parts to making these bars the oat base and the mocha fudge. They're a bit time-consuming but worth it. Here are the ingredients.
Ingredients:
Oat layer
- 3 cups of oats (whichever you have on hand)
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- splash of vanilla
- pinch of salt
Mocha fudge layer
- 3/4 cup of milk chocolate
- 1/4 cup white chocolate
- 1 cup of dark chocolate
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- splash of vanilla
- pinch of salt
Directions:
Making the oat layer
1. Line your 8x8 square pan with parchment paper and set it aside. In a small pot on medium heat, add the butter and wait until it's melted. Then, add the sugars, salt, and vanilla. Let it cook, until the mixture becomes thick, about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, add the mixture to the oats and mix until it's all incorporated. Transfer the oat mixture to your pan and bake at 350°f for about 10 to 15 minutes or until it's golden brown. After it's done baking let it cool, for about 30 minutes. After it's cooled, take the oat bar out of the parchment paper and now line your pan with wax paper. Put your oat bar in the lined pan. Now let's make the mocha fudge.
Making the mocha fudge
1. In a small pot on medium heat, add your chocolate, condensed milk, espresso powder, vanilla, and salt. Let it cook for about 10 to 15 or until it's fully melted. You can also do this in your microwave, On high, every 30 seconds mix the mixture, should take about 90 seconds to be fully melted. After the mixture is done, pour the fudge mixture on top of the oat base and let it set in the fridge for about an hour before cutting. When that's done get a sharp knife and cut 16 bars.

There you have it a Mocha Oat Fudge Bar ready for your guests. I hope you enjoy making them, as I did creating them.
