Apple Cinnamon Shaken Espresso

Apple Cinnamon Shaken Espresso
Makes 1 1/2 cups (375ml) of syrup
It's apple season and I've made an apple cinnamon syrup. I used two different types of sugars, coconut and brown sugar. I find that using these sugars gives this a bit less sweetness, which I like. Some syrups can be too sweet and very medicinal tasting. (I find anyway) So I've made my own syrup and it's very easy to make. All you need are a few ingredients. Also, I'll show you how to make an apple cinnamon shaken espresso.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/4 cup water

Directions
1. In a small saucepan on high heat, add all your ingredients. When it starts to boil, turn it down to medium-low heat and let it cook for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the sugar has fully dissolved. Then let it cool completely and put it in the fridge. This syrup can keep for up to a week. Now on to the shaken espresso.

1. In a jar, add 3 small ice cubes, 2 shots of espresso and 2-3 tablespoons of syrup(depends on how sweet you like it, I prefer 2 tablespoons) Put the lid on the jar and shake it vigorously. After you've shaken it, you should have a bit of foam.
2. In a glass, add half a cup of ice to your glass. Then pour your shaken espresso over your ice and top it with cold foam.
There you have it, apple cinnamon shaken espresso ready to enjoy! 😋
